So, So Very Close.

With their third string QB starting, without Polamalu and Kemoeatu, the Steelers took the Ravens to the wire. No shame in that. No win either. Can't understand why you wouldn't try another designed Dixon roll-out when the one time they did it, it reaped huge benefits.

Fucking Arians.

The Ravens can glory in their hollow victory for now. They aren't going anywhere. You can't even say Flacco outplayed Dennis Dixon. And Rashard Mendenhall sure as shit isn't afraid of Ray Lewis.

Not throwing a back-breaking, game-losing interception in overtime = outplaying, yes?

Ape, What do you think of Hines pretty much calling Ben a pansy in the pre-game interview? If you haven't seen it yet, check it out and get back to me. He basically says, "Ben should have lied to the doctor and played."

Just thought it was pretty messed up to call out a guy that's helped you to 2 Rings like that. Especially on National television. It's one thing to think it, but damn.

Flacco fumbled at the end of regulation to push them out of FG range. He did nothing with his first drive in OT deep on his own side of the field. His second all he had to do was hand off.

So, no. Flacco did not outperform Dixon.

Yeah, Nest. I somehow caught wind of Hines statement, being that they were bandied about by every major media outlet this evening. People are NBC did a hack editing job on it. Even if not, it's a dumb thing to say. The injuries Hines is suggesting lying about aren't concussions. Not that it's "easier" to play with a hip or leg injury, but the long term ramifications aren't the same.

Who was the other QB that the Steelers picked up? Are we possibly looking at the final seasons for Big Ben? 4 concussions are a lot over the short span he has had them.

I doubt he's going to be playing into his mid-30s but I think it's a little premature to be calling this an end to Ben's career. Of course, sitting out a game like he did now he help to make sure he's not out of the league after six seasons. You know, whether or not people like Mike Florio want to work up easy conversation on their site by cultivating the idea that Ben's a drama queen or some other dumb shit.

I am only going on what my doc told me after my 4 concussions in 5 years. You can start to do some real damage after that and it takes a lot longer to recover after each one. Any idea on who the other QB we picked up? I heard Andrea Kramer reference it but I haven't been able to find who #2 is , with Ben being #3.

And I don't know if you were aware but there is a new Steelers Bar in Crystal City.

Tyler Palko, former Pitt QB. Not exactly a long-term solution.
